Fortnite Festival Release Time & How to Join

The final new addition to Fortnite this December is the highly-anticipated Fortnite Festival. Following the success of LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, Epic Games is concluding the streak of new live-service releases with a new concert mini-game headlined by The Weeknd. Similar to the Big Bang event last week, players will be able to join the game and experience a virtual concert with many of their favorite artists. Here is a quick breakdown of how this mode is going to work and when you can expect to play it!

What Is The Fortnite Festival?

While Fortnite has dabbled in concerts and musical experiences before, headlined by names such Travis Scott and Eminem, the Fortnite Festival is going to be an interactive world where you can play songs together with your favorite artists.

You are going to be able to listen and play some of the biggest hits in the world in the form of a few mini-games similar to Guitar Hero. 

“Fortnite Festival is a new music game where players can play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by their favorite artists.”

How to Join The Fortnite Festival

Similar to any other Fortnite mode or event, you will be able to access the Fortnite Festival through the Discover page. When the event is available (we believe it will be at 10am ET), you will be abe to find the festival somewhere on the 'By Epic' section, similar to how it looks here for the LEGO Fortnite mode:

Similar to LEGO Fortnite and Rocket Racing, we believe that the Fortnite Festival is set to release at 10 am ET on Saturday, December 9th. There might be slight delays depending on server stability and overall queue times.
