GameLeap was a subscription service publishing pro-player coaching courses for competitive games. It has been shut down permanently — the site, the apps, the accounts and the subscriptions are all gone.

Rather than delete the library along with it, everything that could be preserved was rebuilt as this archive. It is a set of static pages: there is no backend, no database and no one running it, which is what lets it stay online indefinitely at almost no cost.

No. Every recurring subscription was cancelled at the payment provider, across both of our Stripe accounts and Braintree. There is nothing left that can bill you.

Yes, and for free. 4,166 of the 4,196 video guides are here, across 423 courses — roughly 777 hours. No account, no sign-up, no payment, no email address required.

Start by browsing by game or searching.

They are 720p, H.264, with the original audio — one fixed quality per video, served as a plain MP4 file.

The live service streamed adaptively: it held every guide at 540p, 720p and 1080p in four different codecs, and your player picked whichever suited your connection moment to moment. Keeping all of that would have meant carrying about 6 TB instead of roughly 520 GB, and this archive is funded out of pocket with no revenue behind it. One good-enough copy of everything beat a perfect copy of a fraction of it.

Concretely, compared with what you used to get:

• No 1080p. 720p is the maximum. For coaching footage, where the point is usually reading the in-game UI and minimap, it holds up well.
• No quality switching. There is one file, so there is no settings menu and nothing adapts to a slow connection.
• No hover previews or thumbnail scrubbing. Those needed a custom player and generated sprite sheets that are not part of the archive.
• Seeking still works normally, and so does downloading.

The videos themselves are not re-encoded. They are the original 720p renditions copied across untouched, so nothing has been degraded a second time — you are getting the same 720p stream the site served, just without the other tiers alongside it.

A small number — 30 of 4,196 — could not be recovered. Those were stored only on infrastructure that had already been decommissioned before the archive was built, and no copy survived.

Their pages are still here, with the title and description, because a broken reference is more useful than a silent gap.

Accounts no longer exist. The archive has no login because it has nothing to log in to — every page is public.

That does mean watch history, completed-course tracking and saved progress are gone. There was no way to carry those into a static site, and keeping a user database alive would have meant keeping the service running.

The production databases are being decommissioned along with the rest of the infrastructure. Nothing from the old service is used by this archive: it serves fixed files and has no user records. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. Pages with ads load Google AdSense, which uses cookies; the privacy policy explains what that means and how to opt out.

A single encrypted backup is retained for the period required to meet tax and accounting obligations, then destroyed. If you want to make a data request while that still exists, contact [email protected].

Yes. Each video is a plain MP4 file — right-click the player and choose “Save video as”, or use the download link shown if your browser cannot play it inline.

The archive is intended to last, but making your own copy of anything you care about is never a bad idea.

GameLeap ran one channel per game. Most still exist under the GameLeap name; the Dota 2 and Raid channels carried on under their creators’ own brands after the shutdown. All of them are worth a subscribe.
