Privacy policy
What this site collects (very little), what Cloudflare and Google see, and the choices you have.
Who runs this site
The GameLeap Archive (www.gameleap.com) is run by the site operator. For anything about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
What this site is
A free, static archive of GameLeap’s guides, articles and coaching videos. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no forms: nothing on the site asks you for your name, email address or anything else, and we do not keep any profile of you.
The old GameLeap subscription service and its user accounts are gone. The About page explains what happened to the data it held.
Hosting and analytics (Cloudflare)
The site and its videos are served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare’s network necessarily processes technical data about each request, such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time, to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. Cloudflare keeps short-lived edge logs of this under its own privacy policy.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, uses no local storage and does not fingerprint your device. It reports aggregate figures only, such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types, and we cannot use it to identify you.
Advertising
This site does not currently show ads, and no advertising cookies are set. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ads appear.
Your choices
The site sets no cookies of its own, so there is nothing to consent to or opt out of. Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop any part of the archive from working.
Links and embedded videos
Pages link to other websites, such as YouTube channels and game publishers, and some articles embed videos from YouTube or Twitch. Those players are served by those companies, may set their own cookies when they load, and follow their own privacy policies, not this one.
How long data is kept
This site stores no personal data of its own. Cloudflare keeps its request logs for a short period under its policy, and analytics are kept only as aggregate counts. If you email us, your message is kept only as long as needed to deal with it.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact [email protected] and it will be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to how it is used. Because this site keeps no user records, there is usually nothing for us to hand over. For anything else, write to [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
