Pokemon GO: New Ongoing Stamp Rallies in Sendai & Mexico City
We will go over the new ongoing Pokémon GO stamp rallies in Sendai • Tohoku and Mexico City, their Lapras and Hawlucha rewards and how they work.

The Pokémon GO team has announced brand-new, ongoing stamp rallies in Sendai • Tohoku, Japan, and Mexico City, Mexico. The post went up on November 3, 2026, and it says all Trainers can take part, not just the ticket holders at the in-person events. That's good news for Pokemon GO players who can't travel to either Wild Area event but live near one of the cities or are visiting.
These rallies are separate from the event stamp rally that runs the weekend of Pokémon GO Wild Area. Below we cover the rewards, the stops in each city, and how a stamp rally works, using the official announcement.
What the New Stamp Rallies Offer
The team says it's celebrating Pokémon GO Wild Area in Sendai • Tohoku and Mexico City with everyone. In addition to the event stamp rally during the Wild Area weekend, the announcement mentions November 2, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. PST, and says all Trainers visiting Sendai • Tohoku or Mexico City can take part in a new, separate ongoing stamp rally. You can visit the stamp rally PokéStops in any order. There's no planned end date at this time, so you don't need to rush.
Each city has its own rally and its own reward:
- Sendai – Lapras Stamp Rally: complete it to get an encounter with a Lapras that has a Sendai • Tohoku Location Background.
- Mexico City – Hawlucha Stamp Rally: complete it to get an encounter with a Hawlucha that has a Mexico City Location Background.
Lucky Trainers may even meet a Shiny.
Sendai • Tohoku Stamp Rally Stops
The Sendai – Lapras Stamp Rally takes you across iconic Sendai • Tohoku locations, including:
- Site of Sendai Castle: also called Aoba Castle, the residence of the Date clan, with a panoramic view of Sendai city and the Pacific Ocean.

How Pokémon GO Stamp Rallies Work
Here's the flow from the announcement:
- Start the rally: it activates when you enter the citywide gameplay area of Sendai • Tohoku or Mexico City. Approach any PokéStop that's part of the rally to receive a stamp sheet, and a stamp rally button will appear on the map. All rally PokéStops are highlighted on a dedicated map.
- Collect stamps: an orange stamp icon appears above participating PokéStops. Spin their Photo Discs to add stamps to your sheet. The ink density changes depending on how long you press, stamps show the PokéStop's name and date, and you can't re-press a stamp.
- Finish and claim: you can collect up to eight stamps. Collect all eight to get the Lapras or Hawlucha encounter.
The team reminds players to stay aware of their surroundings. Follow local health authorities' guidelines too, and keep in mind that upcoming events are subject to change.
