Pokemon GO is headed to Pokémon Night Out. The real-world event takes place at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, USA, on October 24, 2026, and at the O2 Arena in London, England, on November 10, 2026. Trainers who attend will get extra event bonuses inside the game.

If you're going to either show, it helps to know what to expect before you open the app at the venue. Below we cover the bonus, the raids, the Timed Research and the wild Pokémon, based on the official announcement.

Pokémon Night Out Event Bonuses in Pokemon GO

Attending Trainers receive one event bonus: Lure Modules activated during the event will last for one hour. Golden Lure Modules are excluded from this bonus.

Raids also change at the venue. Pokémon caught from these raids will have a Los Angeles or London Location Background, depending on which event you attend. These are the raid bosses:

  • One-Star Raids: Pikachu
  • Three-Star Raids: Gengar

Both can be Shiny if you're lucky. The source for all of this is the official Pokémon GO news post.

Timed Research and Wild Encounters

When you open Pokémon GO at the event venue, you'll receive up to two Timed Research opportunities. Completing the tasks gives you a chance to encounter event-themed Pokémon, such as Lowkey Form or Amped Form Toxtricity. You'll also earn an exclusive Pokémon Night Out baseball jersey for your avatar.

One catch: Trainers who already claimed the avatar item Timed Research by watching the Pokémon Night Out Los Angeles Twitch livestream won't receive that Timed Research a second time.

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild at the event venue, and each of them can be Shiny:

  • Gastly
  • Voltorb
  • Alolan Marowak
  • Hoothoot
  • Murkrow
  • Houndour
  • Electrike
  • Carvanha
  • Shinx
  • Zorua
  • Joltik
  • Froakie
  • Dedenne
  • Rookidee

Some Trainers might even encounter Unown P, Unown N or Unown O, which can also be Shiny. Please be aware of your surroundings while you play, and keep in mind that upcoming events are subject to change.
