Pokemon GO's next seasonal event is Twilight Wishes, running from Tuesday, November 24, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 30, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Niantic announced it on the official Pokemon GO site, and it also serves as the season finale for Twilight Trails.

If you want Shiny Staryu or Shiny Elgyem, a new GO Pass, and a chance at four Mega Raid bosses, this is the week to plan around. Below is a rundown of the bonuses, wild spawns, raids, Field Research and GO Pass rewards, based on the official announcement.

Twilight Wishes Event Bonuses and Spawns

The headline bonus is an increased chance to encounter Shiny Staryu and Shiny Elgyem for the whole event. Stars will also light up the skies as event decor, so the game should look a little different while you play.

In the wild, you may meet event-themed Pokémon including Clefairy, Staryu and Elgyem, and you might even run into Rockruff. All of them can appear as Shiny if you're lucky.

Raids

These Pokémon appear in raids during the event, and each one can be Shiny:

  • One-Star Raids: Pikachu wearing a sun crown and Pikachu wearing a moon crown
  • Three-Star Raids: Espeon wearing a sun scarf and Umbreon wearing a moon scarf
  • Mega Raids: Mega Beedrill, Mega Houndoom, Mega Sableye and Mega Manectric

Field Research

Event-themed Field Research tasks are available. Completing them earns Mega Energy and encounters with event-themed Pokémon, including Staryu and Elgyem.

Because this is the Season finale, Field Research also brings back Pokémon from throughout Twilight Trails, in two windows:

  • November 24 at 10:00 a.m. to November 26 at 10:00 a.m.: Applin and Maschiff
  • November 26 at 10:00 a.m. to November 30 at 8:00 p.m.: Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Drifblim wearing a Halloween Mischief costume and Bramblin

Applin, Gengar and Drifblim can be Shiny. The first window is only two days long.

GO Pass: Twilight Wishes

A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track. You collect GO Points to increase your rank and earn rewards. Trainers receive GO Pass: Twilight Wishes automatically on November 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time, and you can keep ranking up through November 30 at 8:00 p.m. Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass expire on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so claim them before then.

Reaching major milestones on the event GO Pass unlocks extra bonuses:

  • Tier 1, Rank 1: an increased chance to get Lucky Pokémon in trades and an increased chance to become Lucky Friends
  • Tier 2, Rank 10: 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon, or 3× Stardust with GO Pass Deluxe

The pass also has additional bonus tasks during the event.

Free and Deluxe Rewards

The free pass rewards include encounters with event-themed Pokémon, Star Piece, Rare Candy and Mega Energy for Beedrill, Houndoom, Sableye and Manectric. GO Pass Deluxe adds more encounters with even more event-themed Pokémon, an event-themed avatar pose, Star Pieces and Premium Battle Passes.

Deluxe costs US$4.99, and Deluxe + 6 Ranks costs US$6.99 and gives you enough GO Points to start at Rank 7. Prices are in USD or the equivalent local tier, and availability of event tickets and Deluxe may vary by region. You can upgrade at any time and still collect rewards from ranks you've already unlocked.
