Season 3 is upon us! This Diablo 4 class tier list takes into account the speed of leveling builds, class difficulty, viability at end game, and more so you can pick the class that best suits you in Season 3. This guide is sourced from none other than Raxx, a renowned Diablo blaster and general ARPG mega-mind. Make sure to check out his stuff after reading this write-up!

Diablo 4 S3 Class Tier List:

As per Raxx's favored tier list structure, we'll be ranking classes on a wide variety of metrics including Leveling, Endgame, and Casual Friendliness. Each metric will be scored from 5 to 1, with 5 being the worst of all the classes in D4.

Rank #5

Druid Icon

Druid

  • Leveling: 5
  • Speed: 4
  • Endgame: 2
  • Survivability: 2
  • Casual Friendliness: 5

Druids are one of the slowest leveling classes in D4. Changes they're receiving in Season 3 are not addressing this. Their movement speed, thus their ability to blast through early and mid-game content, is also very poor versus other classes. Druids only really come online and begin to dominate at endgame, where their fully fleshed-out builds finally overtake their rivals.

Rank #4

Rogue Icon

Rogue

  • Leveling: 3
  • Speed: 1
  • Endgame: 3
  • Survivability: 5
  • Casual Friendliness: 3

Twisting Blades is nerfed in Season 3, and Rogues will be feeling the pinch at endgame. Buffs to ranged Rogue builds are great, however, ranged Rogues tend to be harder mechanically to play in higher-level content. High-skill Rogue players will have no issues shredding with this class. Less committed players may find themselves rerolling.

Rank #3

Necromancer Icon

Necromancer

  • Leveling: 1
  • Speed: 5
  • Endgame: 4
  • Survivability: 3
  • Casual Friendliness: 2

Bone Spirit is getting buffs in Season 3, and builds surrounding that skill could easily propel Necromancer even higher in this tier list. What Necro's lack in movement speed, they more than makeup for with godly leveling speed owing to Bone Spear and Blood Surge builds.

Rank #2

Sorcerer Icon

Sorcerer

  • Leveling: 2
  • Speed: 2
  • Endgame: 5
  • Survivability: 4
  • Casual Friendliness: 1

Sorcerer might've taken a huge hit to Ball Lightning builds in Season 3, but that doesn't mean Sorcerer is down and out. They remain the only class in the game that can compete with Necromancer leveling speeds, and though they struggle with S-tier endgame builds, they tend to find a way to blast by the time they reach level 90 and beyond.

Rank #1

Barbarian Icon

Barbarian

  • Leveling: 4
  • Speed: 3
  • Endgame: 1
  • Survivability: 1
  • Casual Friendliness: 4

The Season 3 Barbarian Charge skill buff is completely nutty. While Barbarians suck at leveling, they'll at least be a little faster now that Charge is likely to be a mainstay. And between Charge and Hammer of the Ancients builds, as well as the best survivability in the game, it's easy to imagine Barbs posting some of the craziest Gauntlet scores at endgame.
