Valorant 13.08 Patch Notes - Map Rating & Corrode Changes
We break down every change in Valorant patch 13.08, from the new Map Rating system to the Corrode map update and the new map pool.

Valorant patch 13.08 went live on October 13, 2026 and kicks off V26 Act 6. The headline additions are Map Rating, an adjusted Performance Score, a reworked Corrode and a new Competitive map pool, and the notes also cover a fresh look at how many accounts were banned in Act 5.
We will go over every change in Valorant 13.08, from Map Rating and the Corrode rework to the smaller bug fixes and known issues.
Valorant 13.08 Highlights
- Map Rating: a new 0 to 500 rating with a C to S letter grade for each map in Competitive and Premier.
- Performance Score: damage and adjusted kills and deaths now count for more, and Chamber gets specific adjustments.
- Corrode update: faster defender rotations, a reworked Mid and a changed A Site plant zone.
- Map pool: Bind and Corrode are in, Ascent and Split are out.
- Client: a new Queue and Mode Select interface and a navigation bar in Career.
Act 5 Penalty Numbers
The team wants to share penalty numbers more often. The figures cover accounts that were fully banned from playing for 3 days or longer during Act 5's detection period, August 18 to October 1.
- Cheaters: 171,000+
- Botters: 54,000+
- Rank manipulation: 76,000+ (boosters, boostees, hitchhikers, wintraders and others)
- Toxicity or comms abuse: 74,000+
- Repeated AFK or gameplay abuse: 288,000+
- Streamsniping or instalocking tools: 14,000+
The team says there is still a lot of work to do, and it asks you to keep reporting players in game, since reports help improve detection.
Competitive Updates
Map Rating
Map Rating shows how your proficiency on a given map changes over time. Here's how it works:
- It uses a 0 to 500 rating and a C to S letter grade.
- The rating is based on four stats: Overall Win Rate, Attacker Win Rate, Defender Win Rate and Performance Score.
- Recent matches count for more than older ones, and improving any of the four stats can raise your rating.
- You can see your rating, stats and Top Agents in Agent Select, End of Game and Career.
- Other players can't see your Map Rating.
- It's available in Competitive and Premier.
- Everyone starts fresh, so historical match data doesn't count.
Performance Score
Performance Score was meant to value the contributions of different agents and roles while still rewarding fragging. At launch it matched ACS on Match MVP about 70% of the time, but some edge cases suggested the extra factors were weighted too heavily. Adjustments that went live during 13.06 address this:
- Increased the score impact of Damage, Adjusted Kills and Adjusted Deaths. These adjusted metrics include First Bloods and First Deaths.
- Made Chamber specific adjustments that better reflect his utility use.
Corrode Map Update
After more than a year of data, the team is changing a few areas of Corrode.
A Site and B Site Defender Paths
Rotations have been taking too long, so defender spawn pathing toward the sites changed. The paths into the back of A Site and B Site are adjusted to shorten rotations and help with retakes.
Mid
Mid has felt like a brawl, and the team wants fights there to be more predictable. Attackers currently funnel through a single choke into Lower Mid, where defenders can slow them by spamming the half wall.
- Changed the Mid half wall to metal and moved it out 1 meter. This reduces wall spam and lets attackers sneak into A Link without being seen from Top Mid.
- Moved the boxes at the back of Lower Mid toward B and added a jump-up.
- Raised the wall in Lower Mid to stop players peeking over it from the relocated boxes.
A Site Plant Zone
The A Site plant zone is adjusted to make post-plant play from A Link less effective.
Map Pool Updates
- In: Bind and Corrode, in the Competitive and Deathmatch queues.
- Out: Ascent and Split, from the Competitive and Deathmatch queues.
Agent and Client Updates
- Killjoy: the Alarmbot's projectile destruction VFX and audio feedback now trigger when the projectile is destroyed by moving doorways.
- Queue and Mode Select: a new interface for matchmade and custom game types.
- Career: a navigation bar makes it easier to reach feature pages like Rank Legacy, Accolades and Map Rating.
Valorant 13.08 Bug Fixes
- Competitive: fixed the incorrect threshold shown for the Masterful accolade.
- Gameplay Systems: fixed alternate footstep sounds sometimes not playing in Fog of War, bodyfall audio failing to play at the proper location when agents died in Fog of War, and gun bounce audio events sometimes not triggering.
- Weapons: fixed Warden scope reticle misalignment during full auto fire.
Known Issues
- Team MVP: a visual bug means Team MVP doesn't show correctly in Match History. A fix is in progress.
- Range in Queue: some players ended up in a bugged queue state while using the Practice Range, so the feature was disabled. The team is testing a fix and hopes to release it soon.
