Infinity Nikki welcomed its Version 1.5 update yesterday, April 29, 2025. The update has been hyped up as the biggest addition to the game, with the new Sea of Stars Miracle Outfit making an appearance and co-op finally being introduced to the game. However, all of the new additions created more problems than wonderful experiences, as upon the release of the update, players were quick to notice that it was filled with game-breaking bugs that left most of the community unable to play. Complaints of forced cutscenes, missing voices, disappearing missions, and much more filled all of the game’s social media channels!

What Happened

The version 1.5 update to the game was one that the community greatly anticipated due to its promise to bring a ton of new, exciting content to the game. Sadly, the update fell short on its promises, as upon its release, the players noticed a plethora of bugs that left Infinity Nikki in an unplayable state. The update introduced a ton of issues to the game, most of which stemmed from its newly added co-op feature, which, from its looks, was nowhere near ready for launch.
The co-op feature was one of, if not the most anticipated, features coming with this update. It would set the stage for the Sea of Stars and allow the players to finally interact with one another, but that all fell short when the co-op ended up being a buggy mess, with lots of crashes and not really anything to do apart from taking pictures together. This, combined with the introduction of 11-piece outfits, overpriced store items, and shady marketing strategies, sent both the global and Chinese communities into a fury.

The Players’ Backlash

The players of Infinity Nikki were, to put it mildly, angry with Infold for the way they treated the release of Version 1.5. The increase in the pity, which now would require at most 220 pulls to obtain one of the new outfits, became a serious point of concern for the players, as this was not the first time Infold had resorted to increasing the maximum number of pulls that were required to obtain a full outfit. Fearing for the future of the game and what it could turn into, both the Chinese and global players united to protest this decision and hope to bring some change to the game. This protest demanded that Infold reduce the total pity for all future outfits to 180, bring back the 14-day reset time for the Mira Crown, and stop relying on shady marketing practices to hope and extract money from their players. And it didn’t take long for Infold to respond.

Infold’s Response

The company behind Infinity Nikki issued an apology close to 12 hours after the update had gone live. This apology touched upon the 11-piece pity, Mira Crown, and the countless bugs that players were experiencing, and sadly, it didn’t go well with the community. Rather than apologizing and giving proper compensation, the company tried to justify the need for 11-piece outfits and promised that outfits in the future wouldn’t exceed 11 pieces, while also settling on a 16-day reset time for the Mira Crown, rather than the previously requested 14-day reset. The fact that the issue of the pity being increased was hardly touched on, combined with the fact that some of the community’s issues were blatantly ignored, led the community to continue with the boycotts until a new resolution was reached. While Infold tried to appease the situation by giving out a compensation equating to 30 pulls, that was nowhere near enough to quench the fire in the hearts of the players. The boycotts are still going strong even now, and we are awaiting a further response from Infold to shed more light on how they will be moving forward.
