Enshrouded: All NPC Unlock Locations

In this helpful guide, we will be showing you how to locate all of the NPCs in Enshrouded. Having access to these important NPCs will help you to create gear and items that will allow you to further progress into the game.

Enshrouded has a unique mechanic that allows you to summon craftspersons in your base by using a Summoning Staff so you can first create the proper structure for them to reside in.

We will make sure to update this guide should there be any new information regarding all of the NPCs in Enshrouded.

Oswald Anders the Blacksmith Location

This NPC is rather easy to locate and does not require any special items or gear to reach him. He is located north of your initial base. You will need to cross Braelyn Bridge and take a left until you see a scavenger outpost with a tower at its rear. You will locate Oswald inside the tower. 

The Blacksmith is very useful as you gain access to a Workbench which you can use to craft a Glider or Grappling Hook so you can travel much easier. You will also be able to create gear and other useful items to help you on your journey. 

Balthazar the Alchemist Location

This NPC is also fairly easy to reach as we recommend that you reach level 3 on your character to make it easier to deal with the enemies on the path to the Alchemist. You should craft the Grappling Hook and Glider from the Blacksmith to make your journey easier.

Once you are done, you can head northwest of the Blacksmith's vault location. You can also complete the Ancient Spire in the Springlands to unlock Fast Travel and glide from the top of the tower. You will have to glide toward the ruined buildings in the Harvest Homestead until you see a small set of fortifications with enemies that guard the Alchemist. 

Once you enter the keep, make sure to go to the back of the area up a flight of stairs until you reach a creepy red-lit room. Once you defeat the enemies there, head up some more stairs until you reach the Alchemist's pod which is guarded by two more enemies.

Athalan Skree The Hunter Location

The Hunter can be a bit more challenging than the previous two NPCs. You will need to head north across the Braelyn Bridge and this time head east until you reach the Ancient Vault. Be wary of the many traps that guard Athalan as you will need to complete difficult puzzles as well. 

The Hunter will allow you to upgrade your backpack so you have more inventory space and you will be able to craft better torches, arrows along with other useful items.

Emily Fray The Farmer Location

This NPC can be quite difficult to locate as you will need to go through a cave passage located above the Alchemist's Ancient Vault. You will then have to head northward past an Elixir Well as you will need to make use of your Grappling Hook and Glider items to successfully traverse the terrain.

The Vault itself houses a lot of dangerous traps and enemies but Emily will grant you access to popcorn which increases stamina regeneration and boosts your stats as well as farming capabilities so you can start cultivating crops.

Cade Hawthorn The Carpenter Location

This is possibly the hardest NPC to reach as he is guarded by very strong enemies. You can find his vault by going left from your home base, heading beyond the Saline Quarry until you reach Morwenna. You will then have to cross a bridge that leads to an Enshrouded area as you begin encountering your foes.

The Carpenter is crucial to upgrading your structures like crafting better doors, windows, tables, beds, etc., as well as creating magical storage boxes.
