WoW TWW Patch 11.1 PTR General Changes - Feb 12, 2025
We will go over the most recent development notes for World of Warcraft The War Within 11.1
As the next big World of Warcraft patch draws near, the devs are still busy on fixing any possible bug issues and further improving the new systems and features coming to The War Within.
Having said that, we will go over the most recent development notes for The War Within 11.1 PTR, as the new D.R.I.V.E. system, along with new Delves and other goodies will certainly need to be good before launch.

The War Within 11.1 PTR General Changes
D.R.I.V.E.
- Wheels now animate when you use a Boost and at a standstill.
- Fixed some unintended behaviors that occurred while attempting to drift while falling.
- Fixed a bug related to the Breakneck acting as though it’s falling when it’s really only going over small obstacles.
- Fixed an issue with Drift, when falling short distances, that would cause players to instantly lose drift. Drift now only cancels on longer falls and resumes upon landing.
- Fixed an issue that would lead to persistent strafing and could occur when certain key-combinations were pressed while dismounting.
- Fixed an issue with drift that could lead to Drift key being temporarily sticky and not disengage until stopping.
- Fixed some rare instances of disconnection related to jumps and falls while on the G99 Breakneck.
Delves
- Dwarven Medicine will now grant 15% damage reduction for 12 seconds.
- Dwarven Medicine healing over time effect is increased by 50%.
- Steel Traps will now increase the damage the target takes by 20% for 12 seconds.
- Healer Brann now has reduced threat generation.
- An issue with Brann’s Epic Egg not summoning a devilsaur has been resolved.
Items
- Fixed an issue where some food/drink could stack with Conjured Mana Bun to stack regen rates. The most recently consumed will take priority.
- Operation: Floodgate trinkets have received a variety of bug fixes and an initial tuning pass.
And that covers all of the minor adjustments to the game. Generally speaking, the devs are focusing on the new dungeon and raid content, along with balancing all of the classes, but some quality-of-life improvements are never a bad idea. You can check out the official development notes, here.
