WoW MoP Classic Release Date and Details

The long-awaited announcement is finally here, and players are more than excited to continue their journey throughout the iconic World of Warcraft expansions. Mists of Pandaria has been regarded as one of the best expansions despite its at-first goofy nature due to the Pandaren race being added to the game.

Regardless, the community embraced the new content with open arms, hailing not only the great balancing of classes but also the overall fun playing experience all across the board. Having said that, let's take a look at everything you need to know about MoP Classic.

Mists of Pandaria Classic Launch Date

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic launches on July 21, 2025 so better organize your summer plans right now. Furthermore, the WoW Classic team also announced scaling down production on Season of Discovery, so there is no better time than now to start preparing for this beloved expansion.

MoP Classic Pre-Expansion Patch

Before the official launch, the devs will add a pre-expansion patch for Mists of Pandaria Classic on July 1, 2025 so you will have time to create a new character and get to re-live your time playing a fluffy Pandaren or maybe try out the new Monk class that was added to the expansion.

Alongside the new content, a ton of quality-of-life changes will be available such as AoE Looting, revamped class identity and many other goodies. You will also be able to partake in the the Attack on Theramore Isle world event, pet battles and other fun activities while you wait for the expansion to drop.

MoP Classic

Here are just some of the new features you can expect when logging in to play Mists of Pandaria Classic:

• New Level Cap: Ascend to new heights of power as you defend Azeroth, earning new talents every step of the journey to level 90 with extensively reworked talent trees.
• Lush New Lands: The Wandering Isle (Levels 1–10), The Jade Forest (Levels 85–86), Valley of the Four Winds (Levels 86–87), Krasarang Wilds (Levels 86–87), Kun-Lai Summit (Levels 87–88), Townlong Steppes (Levels 88–89), Dread Wastes (Levels 89–90), Vale of Eternal Blossoms (Level 90)
• Dungeons and Raids: Brave defenders of Azeroth can battle their way through six new dungeons in Pandaria, four revamped Heroic dungeons, and three new raids.
• New PvP Arena and Two New Battlegrounds: The gates will open when PvP Season 12 begins the week following launch.
• Sunsong Ranch: Embrace a farmer’s life with your own farm, allowing you to plant and harvest crops. Head to the Valley of the Four Winds and start earning reputation with the Tillers to earn a plush plot of soil to till.
• Scenarios: Join friends to achieve a common goal, such as mounting a defense against invading monsters, in a flexible new type of queueable "micro-dungeon" PvE challenges in these seven three-player Scenarios.
• Challenge Mode Dungeons: Master the ultimate 5-player time trial and earn prestige rewards in a new dungeon mode that will put your resolve and coordination to the test.

Free Character Boost and Mount

Additionally, the WoW Classic team have set up some rewards for those brave enough to defeat Dreadlord Balnazzar in the Scarlet Enclave raid in Season of Discovery. Defeating him will net your a free Level 85 Character Boost (Classic Progression).

Finish the fight to the end, and your reward will be granted on July 1. And if you’ve already taken down Balnazzar in Season of Discovery, have no fear! You, too, will be granted a Character Boost for your ‘retroactive’ bravery. 

Sage Serpent Mount

You can also get yourself a fancy mount for your Retail characters. This reward will be available between July 1, 2025 up until July 30, 2025 to get the Shaohao's Sage Serpent. Here are the steps you need to follow:

• Install World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic
• Create a Pandaren character.
• Complete the Pandaren starting experience, including choosing the path of either Alliance or Horde.
• Once complete, Shaohao's Sage Serpent will be delivered to your Collection in modern WoW.
