WoW SoD Phase 8 PTR - Mage Tier Sets
We will take a look at the upcoming tier sets for the Mage class in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 8.
Season of Discovery is most likely getting its final phase, and players are more than excited to check out the new content coming their way. The World of Warcraft Classic devs are busy tweaking and tuning all of the new gear, enemies, and features coming to SoD Phase 8.
Having said that, we will take a look at all of the Mage Tier Set stats and bonuses that have been added in the World of Warcraft Season of Discovery PTR. Major thanks to the Wowhead team for their datamining efforts.

Season of Discovery Phase 8 Mage Tier Sets

Tier Bonuses
- Damage 2P Bonus: Your Living Bomb now deals damage every 1 sec, and will detonate if the target dies. In addition, the effect of Glaciate from the rune of Ice Lance now stacks up to 8 times, and Spellfrost Bolt grants 2 stacks each time it hits.

Damage 4P Bonus: Reduces the cooldown on your Frozen Orb spell by 20 sec. Each time Glaciate is consumed, the cooldown on your Deep Freeze is reduced by 1.0 sec per stack consumed. Increases the chance for Arcane Blast to trigger Missile Barrage by 10% and for Fireball and Frostbolt to trigger Missile Barrage by 5%. Reduces the cooldown on Fire Blast by 5 sec and Fire Blast now refreshes the duration of your Living Bomb on the target.

Damage 6P Bonus: Casting Deep Freeze increases the remaining duration of your Icy Veins spell by 8 sec. Casting Pyroblast cancels 1 stack of the effect from your Balefire Bolt.

- Healer 2P Bonus: Reduces the cooldown of your Arcane Power by 90 sec and increases its duration by 10 sec. While Arcane Power is active, your chance to gain Arcane Tunneling is increased by 10% and each cast of Arcane Blast reduces the remaining cooldown on Mass Regeneration by 1.0 sec.
- Healer 4P Bonus: Your Arcane Blast has a 10% chance to cause Arcane Tunneling. Arcane Tunneling prevents your Arcane Blast effect from being consumed by the next other Arcane damage spell you cast. In addition, activating Arcane Power resets the cooldown on your Mass Regeneration. (Proc chance: 20%)
- Healer 6P Bonus: Rewind Time also reduces all damage taken by your target by 20% for 8 sec.
And that covers the current Tier Sets available in the PTR. Keep in mind that all of the featured items and bonuses are subject to change so make sure to try them out in the PTR when you can and provide feedback to the devs.
