Hades 2: All Release Dates for Every Platform and More — Supergiant Games

Supergiant Games' roguelike dungeon crawler, Hades 2, has finally been released into early access on PC!

Following on from the huge success of their first game, 'Hades,' which won multiple awards including 'Game of the Year,' the sequel has been very much anticipated by a massive audience. Hades 2 will follow Melinoë, the sister of the original protagonist, Zagreus, on an adventure in a world without the family of Gods. It takes all the great mechanics from the original Hades with an interesting and adapted story rooted in Greek mythology and the dawn of witchcraft.

Hades 2 Early Access Reviews

Reviews have started pouring in for Hades 2 and they are looking very promising, with IGN rating it 9/10, PC Gamer stating 'absolutely worth playing in early access right now,' The Gamer stating ‘Supergiant Has Yet Another Masterpiece On Its Hands,’ and an early 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating on Steam.

The combat and new magic system have been massively praised along with the narrative, and did we expect any less after the amazing voice acting in the first game? This is an excellent start for an early access game as it will still be rather bare bones compared to where it will be when finished.

As of the current time of writing this article, PC is the only platform where you can play Hades 2 but at a later date will be coming to:

There is a lot of anticipation as to when the game will be released on console, for which an exact date has not yet been announced. If we take information from the original game for predictions, we can see that Hades 1 was released on Windows, MacOS, and Nintendo Switch in December 2018 and August 2021 on console. Following this, Supergiant Games addressed the situation and stated that they expect the early access to last at least until the end of 2024. This may indicate that gamers should not have to wait as long as the original before Hades 2 reaches consoles.

Supergiant Games are known for their epic and high-quality story writing, music, and voice acting, and with the early positive reviews, It sounds like Hades 2 will be completely worth the wait!
