The Trial of Abyss is the current endgame mode in AFK Journey that has players face a ton of floors with increasingly stronger enemies.
At the start, you might find progressing through the Trial of Abyss easy, but the further you go the slower you start to progress until you’re eventually stuck.
In this article, we’ll show you some Heroes that might help you get past those walls and push further.

Best Heroes for Trial of Abyss
The Trial of Abyss can become quite annoying at higher floors, with enemies instantly killing your Heroes and completely wiping your teams in a matter of seconds.
To combat this it is best to use really powerful tanks in combination with units that can crowd-control the enemies until they are dead.
Below you can see 5 of the Heroes we believe do great when it comes to that and if you have them built you might want to give them a shot at the Trial of Abyss.
Carolina / Arden
Carolina and Arden fall in together as you’ll generally be using one of them in your team alongside some of the other units in this list to form a team that revolves around a ton of CC. Carolina and Arden are here because they are one of the best units in the game when it comes to CC (crowd control).
Rowan
Ability to instantly heal allies based on their MAX HP which pairs well with a lot of tanks like Thoran or Granny which you will be using on the higher floors of the Trial of Abyss. Also gives a ton of energy to help your Heroes use their Ultimates faster, and if you’re running CC units then you’ll be mopping through the floors.

Eiron
His ability to instantly gather the whole enemy team (after he reaches Mythic+) makes Eiron an amazing crowd controller and a great CC unit to have in your teams. If paired with someone like Rowan he can constantly cast his ult, keeping enemies locked from doing anything for quite some time, and if you have other CC units on your team then you’ll be destroying floors.
Thoran
Thoran is great at staying alive and his ability to revive after being killed once makes him a great Hero to have on your team as he will give more time for your back units to farm energy and mop the floor with any enemies.
Scarlita
Sacrlita is an absolute monster when it comes to supporting your team and dealing damage to enemies. She has constant shields at the start of the battle which helps keep your team alive and get started, so when paired with units like Thoran and Eiron she can buy a ton of time for your remaining units to deal a ton of damage and destroy the enemies.

It’s worth mentioning that the units above are not ranked by strength, and are placed in no particular order. Each of the units above has its unique purpose in the Trial of Abyss and can fit into many teams. So make sure to pick the units you’ve built the best and maybe try incorporating some of the units mentioned above in those teams.
As with other modes in AFK Journey you can also look at replays in the Tower of Trials to see how other people have cleared certain stages and get an idea of what team to form.
