What Happened In Spider-Man No Way Home?

Not only did some iconic characters from the Spider-Man franchise return to the screen but they were also portrayed by the actors who originally played them. It was an amazing experience filled with emotional Easter Eggs and references to the old movies, which made fans even more excited.

However, not every good story has a happy ending. After the conclusion of the fight between characters from different universes, everyone returns to their original reality. Tom Holland's Peter Parker had to make one final sacrifice to protect the entire multiverse, becoming a nobody in the process. While Spider-Man remains known as a superhero, Peter's identity has been completely erased from every human's mind. Some considered this an open ending that would complete the Spider-Man trilogy, while others believed it merely opened the door to new possibilities.

Tom Holland Talks About Spider-Man 4

In his latest interview with Deadline, Tom Holland expressed how passionate and motivated he is to film another Spider-Man movie. He discussed his appreciation for the role, acknowledging that it's the one that skyrocketed his career. However, despite his eagerness to shoot a new movie, Tom pointed out the following struggle:  

“We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be. But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect. The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing.”

No matter how excited we are to see a sequel after the amazing No Way Home movie, it's understandable why coming up with a good follow-up story would be challenging. It's reassuring to know that a fourth Spider-Man movie is indeed happening, and the writers are already putting a lot of effort into the scenario. Tom Holland went on to explain:

“This is the first time in this process that I’ve been part of the creative so early. It’s just a process where I’m watching and learning. It’s just a really fun stage for me. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things.”

We are happy to see that he is able to contribute to the thinking process. His participation in the movie from such an early stage shows that not only he, but the whole team, really wants to make Spider-Man 4 happen.
