Once Human 3.1.1 Patch Notes - All Changes
We will go over every Once Human 3.1.1 bug fix from October 22, 23 and 26, plus the issues still being fixed and the Tech enhancement rules.

Once Human 3.1.1 arrived as a series of bug-fix posts on October 22, 23 and 26, 2026, following the launch of the Isles of Abyss scenario. The Once Human Development Team posted each batch on Steam, together with a list of problems it is still working on.
If you play on the Isles of Abyss, several of these fixes affect sailing, trees, custom servers and event rewards. We will go over every change by date, then the Tech enhancement clarification and the issues the team has not fixed yet.
Once Human 3.1.1 Highlights
- Ship lag fixed: characters moving on a ship no longer experience lag or position rollback while it is in motion.
- Walkman sound: songs played on the walkman have sound again.
- Team system: the unlock requirement in the Isles of Abyss scenario drops from Tech Level 2 to Tech Level 1.
- Wrong rewards corrected: players who received the wrong Deviation or formula will get the right item by mail.
- Tech enhancement notes: the team explained when unlocked Tech enhancement effects apply.
October 22 Bug Fixes
The first batch fixed these issues:
- Some felled trees on the beginner island of the Isles of Abyss still appeared from a distance.
- Climbing onto the ship was relatively difficult in first person camera.
- The dye zones of the Bottom Stockings were wrong on the female fashion sets Radiant Serenade, Origin Zero, Woven Radiance, Final Prayer, Winter Serenade and Letter From Ocean.
- In the Isles of Abyss Deviation Selection Gift Box, selecting Employee No. H37 - Submarine Attitude incorrectly granted Employee No. H37 - Prototype, and selecting Space Turner - Water Cube incorrectly granted Space Turner - White Cliff Remnant. The team will send the originally selected Deviations by mail within 2 business days.
- Fridge - Geek could not be interacted with.
- The maximum durability of buildings on Eternaland was sometimes incorrect.
- Water ripples still appeared at the original location of a dismantled ship plate.
- In the Isles of Abyss custom server, the Haywire Zones event effects on the interface timeline did not match the actual effects.
- On mobile, the game could become unresponsive when switching selections in the Battle Pass Lost & Returned Pack.
The same post listed four issues under urgent repair: some trees on the beginner island could not be felled, characters on a moving ship could lag or roll back, the Riftwalker's abnormal movement stopped players from killing it normally, and the walkman had no sound. The ship lag and the walkman sound were fixed on October 23, along with tree chopping on mobile.
October 23 Bug Fixes
The second batch covered custom servers, ships and event progress:
- Duplicate character name warnings now appear in custom servers, so players are no longer blocked from entering.
- Memetics are no longer missing in the custom server Isles of Abyss: RaidZone.
- Players can complete the "Head to a New Area" task in the Isles of Abyss custom server.
- Trees in certain areas of the Isles of Abyss can be chopped on mobile.
- Mr.Wishmonmon's health bar displays correctly.
The team also listed fixes expected by 08:30 PT, with the note that the actual completion time may vary:
- Precision Load and Turret Enhancement mods now take effect at certain levels.
- Environmental water resources display accurately in certain areas of western Isles of Abyss.
- The Standing Action animation SFX and the female mask's eye VFX of the Underworld Echo Set are fixed.
- Halloween Wonder Night event task progress is now kept across seasons. The lost Blind Box attempts will be compensated by mail within 2 business days.
- A ship that occasionally got stuck while sailing, teleporting players to the wrong location, is fixed.
- Players can place items in their territory, and a ship design layout with "Building Filter" - "Ignore Facilities" checked can be placed properly.
- The Team system unlock requirement in the Isles of Abyss scenario was lowered from Tech Level 2 to Tech Level 1.
October 26 Bug Fixes
The third batch fixed these issues:
- Some players did not receive the initial main story task after entering the Isles of Abyss scenario.
- The Frontline Dispatch - Premium Pack granted the "Formula: Red Velvet Armchair" instead of the intended "Formula: Camping Chair". After recovering the incorrect formula, the team will resend the Camping Chair formula by mail within 3 business days.
- The underwater mechanism door in the laboratory for the "Ruins Archive - Monthly Environmental Report" could not be opened.
- Ships sometimes lifted off and became stuck. Ships in an abnormal state are now reset automatically to their normal position.
How Tech Enhancement Effects Work
Some Metas reported that certain Tech enhancement effects were not working. After investigating, the team explained the activation rules. Once you unlock a Tech enhancement effect in a scenario, it applies automatically to facilities, tools and related items that you build, craft or obtain afterward.
It does not apply to anything you built, crafted or obtained before the Tech was unlocked. To get the effect on those, rebuild or recraft them after unlocking the Tech. Replacing, moving or putting back existing facilities or items will not grant the new effect.
Known Issues Still Being Fixed
- Calamity Owl: it can get stuck underground in strongholds while moving, which stops players from attacking it normally. The team is working on it.
- Crocodile patterns: they are lost when you transfer out of Eternaland. The cause is identified, but the fix involves model changes, so it will arrive with the next version update on November 5.
And that covers all of the Once Human 3.1.1 changes so far. You can read the official posts for October 22 on Steam. For more on the scenario itself, see our guides to the Isles of Abyss server schedule and launch details and the Meta Hotline Vol. 11 feedback results.
