With the LEC Spring Split nearing its end we have some clear contenders for the title of the likes of KC, FNC, and MKOI as G2 has been rather sloppy this time around. Not only has the LEC been revitalized from being a one-team region, and the stakes are even higher given the new Fearless Draft format.
Having said that, let's take a look at the match from the Regular Season as each teams inches ever so slightly to Playoffs and possibly even MSI.

2025 LEC Spring Format
With Fearless Draft still in play, pro players will need to constantly adapt to an ever-shifting meta and draft their way to victory. Thankfully, there will be no best-of-one (Bo1) matches for this split so all of the teams will be able to give it their all.

A very dominant return to form for G2 as not only were they on KC's turf, but they also showed some very good League of Legends for the first game of the series. SkewMond's Xin Zhao and BrokenBlade's Jax were the highlights with Caps' Galio pick being the much-needed followup.
A very clean and calculated game for G2 as they were able to kick off the series 1-0.

A great turnaround for KC as Caliste's Ezreal, coupled with Canna's Gwen were crucial to taking down G2's comp in team fights. Not only did Targamas find some crucial engages onto the enemy team, despite the ranged carries maintaining their distance. With the crowd cheering on KC, they were able to equalize the series and go 1-1 after a very decisive performance in the second game.

The third game was rather chaotic with Caliste once again finding some early kills on his Miss Fortune. Following the previous loss, G2 failed to find the angle in team fights given how easy KC could focus down a carry.
Finally, KC was able to lock in and finish the series in a very convincing 2-1 fashion, leading many fans to wonder whether G2 have lost their mojo after their years as the reigning champions.
