InZOI Ultimate Beginner's Guide: How to Play & Tips and Tricks
Inzoi Studio

The inZOI team used its Friday developer post on October 30 to answer the feedback that followed the October 23 release of the Celebrity Update. In it, Kjun walks through the fixes coming in the next update and the ideas the team is weighing for the future of inZOI.

If you play daily, the letter tells you which annoying bugs are being squashed and which features might arrive later. Here's a rundown of what the team confirmed and what it's only considering.

What the Next Update Fixes

According to the official Steam post, the next update will address three things first. These are duplicate saving and loading of identical textures on Canvas, certain crashes and portrait display issues. The team will also add an On/Off option for the camera spotlight.

The studio is also working on a longer list of appearance and environment bugs:

  • Young Adult female outfits other than Formal not being saved
  • Eyelash manipulation issues
  • Floating nails and gaps between shoes and feet
  • The tongue clipping through the face during facial capture
  • Flickering lights
  • Trees intruding into the lot at 3140 Green Way Street

On top of that, Kjun says fixes are in progress for Zois getting stuck in vehicles, bait, seeds and gifts being discarded without permission, and incorrect hand positioning during weddings. The team is also looking into products disappearing when you restock display stands, differences in character limits between Canvas Web and the in-game Canvas, and restrictions related to the Getbabywith cheat.

Ideas the Team Is Considering

Not everything in the letter is a promise. For the Celebrity Update, the team is considering career paths beyond idols, including actors, models and bands, plus a progression system that lets Zois grow from performing on the streets to appearing on major stages. It also wants to tie performance mistakes and audience reactions to skill levels and make audiences more diverse.

Kjun says the studio is taking requests to strengthen the fundamentals "very seriously" rather than focusing only on flashy new features. Some of the plans mentioned:

  • More distinctive, personality-driven reactions, with NPCs taking the initiative to ask someone on a date, confess or propose
  • Zois doing homework on their own, proposing on their own and visiting friends' homes on their own
  • Better animations for eating, phone calls, business payments and coffee preparation, along with fixes for hands that don't touch objects properly or objects that seem to teleport
  • Longer interactions that you can cancel at any time or resume after a Zoi handles an urgent need
  • Mod-inspired quality-of-life features, such as prioritizing leftover food, watching TV together without a group, no loading when switching between family members, and improvements to speakers, automatic lighting, family saving and vehicle despawning

The team is also considering redesigning Dowon's school buses to better reflect Korean school buses and separating vehicle designs by region. For the Cartoon Filter, it's looking at ways to let you adjust the filter to your taste instead of just bringing back the previous UI as an option.

One firm line: core features such as Bubbly (SNS) will not be locked behind DLC.

What Is Still Unannounced

The post doesn't give dates or prices. Kjun says clear information on the DLC price, the November patch and the schedule for the next major update will come soon, once internal discussions are complete.

Until then, treat the considered items as plans rather than confirmed features. For more on the game, our beginner's guide and the overview of every job and how to get one are good places to catch up while you wait for the next patch.
