G2 vs GX 2025 LEC Winter Playoffs Day 1 Match Result

With the Bo1 matches now finally over, fans and casters alike are excited to see how the LEC will handle the new Bo3 Fearless Draft format. With a total of 8 teams that qualified to Playoffs, we can expect some bangers along with exciting champion picks and strategies as the longer a series goes on, the less available picks there will be for the pro players.

With that in mind, let us take a look at the second match from 2025 LEC Winter Playoffs between G2 Esports and GIANTX.

2025 LEC Winter Playoffs Format

The 2025 League of Legends EMEA Championship Playoffs will feature the new Fearless Draft format. With that in mind, we can expect the teams to deliver some top of the line plays along with some shenanigans like pocket picks and non-meta champions given the strategic limitations of a diminishing champion pool.

G2 vs GX Picks

Winner: G2

Speaking of cooking, G2 surely delivered with their Warwick top pick. Despite some incredible ults from Jun's Neeko, G2 was able to persevere and keep mounting the pressure either through great macro or picks on side lanes. In spite of the major criticism towards Labrov and SkewMond, this roster finally seemed to click with Caps once again carrying on his Azir.

A more cleaner game from G2 as they were able to outmacro GX whilst also winning the final crucial teamfight, securing them a 2-0 in this Bo3 as they move up the bracket for a chance to win the 2025 LEC Winter Split.
