Once you've located the correct Imperial Roadblock, eliminate the Stormtroopers guarding Chewbacca. After freeing him, Chewie will gratefully join your squad as an NPC ally and reward you with his signature Bowcaster.
Getting the Wookie Bowcaster in Imperial Chests
If rescuing Chewbacca is too difficult for you, there's another way to acquire the Wookiee Bowcaster in Fortnite x Star Wars. The weapon can also be found inside Imperial Chests at the Imperial Roadblocks.
