While Diablo 4 Season 3 has left the community divided with its focus on traps and hazards, no one can deny that the game has steadily improved over time with the addition of many endgame activities. Among these are the new Arcane Tremor world events, Vault dungeons, and a fun and engaging seasonal questline.
The main antagonist for this season is called Malphas, whose boss battle you will be able to encounter not only at the end of the seasonal questline but also in the endgame with a modified Uber version. In this article, we are going to go over the entire summoning process and location for the Uber Malphas boss fight, as well as the full list of known items that can drop by defeating him.

Uber Malphas Location & Summon Requirements
In order to summon and engage Uber Malphas, you are going to need to travel to his domain. He can be found in the Vault of the Loom, which is the central Vault found in the northern side of your main hub for Season 3 - Gatehall. Once you enter the Vault of the Loom, you will find a locked door and an altar. Opening the door to Uber Malphas' dungeon requires two different resources:
- 7x Igneous Core
- 250x Shattered Stone
Shattered Stones are really easy to find and farm in Season 3, as they drop from any of the new construct enemies and elites found in the Vault dungeons or Arcane Tremor events. You can also get them from picking up a Governing or Tuning Stone that you already have at max level.
Igneous Cores are a bit more difficult to obtain. The main way of obtaining them is by defeating the Heralds of Malphas elites you can summon at the different Braziers in the Arcane Tremor events. The second way is by defeating the Son of Malphas elite, which can, similar to the Butcher, randomly spawn in any of the Vault dungeons and sometimes near the Arcane Tremor events in the open world.
After opening the door in the Vault of the Loom, you will have to clear 4 small versions of Vault dungeons before challenging Uber Malphas at the end.

Uber Malphas Loot Table & Rewards
Uber Malphas is a bit different from the rest of the endgame bosses, as he does not have a dedicated pool of Unique items that he can drop. He can drop Rares, Legendaries, and random Uniques, similar to any other monster in World Tier 4, with a small chance of them being Item Power 925. The main reason to farm Uber Malphas is for the Unique Tuning Stones that only he can drop. Genesis and Evernight are the strongest Tuning Stones in the game and they will drastically improve your Seneschal Construct. The drop rate for these Unique Tuning Stones has also been released by Blizzard:
- Uber Malphas: 0.5% chance to drop.
- Wardwoven Chests After the Boss: 3% chance to drop.
That covers everything you need to know on how you can find and defeat Uber Malphas, as well as his dedicated loot table. The Unique Tuning Stones that can drop from him are really powerful, so we suggest farming him if you want to compete in the upcoming Gauntlet leaderboards.
