Disney Dreamlight Valley: 2026 Showcase Recap and Keepsake Sea Dates

The developers have shown off what's next for Disney Dreamlight Valley in the 2026 Showcase Stream, held on October 21, 2026. The developers confirmed that the expansion The Keepsake Sea arrives on November 18, 2026, and previewed a free update and early 2027 plans.

If you're planning your next few weeks in the Valley, there's plenty to line up, from a new Star Path available right now to a Twitch Drops skin. Below is a rundown of every date and reward the announcement spells out.

What's Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley

Here are the key dates from the announcement:

• October 21 to December 2: the new Seafaring Star Path, available right now.
• October 21 to October 28: Twitch Drops for an exclusive skin for your Pirate Crocodile Companion.
• November 18: The Keepsake Sea expansion launches.
• December 9: the free update 'Ohana Holidays brings Lilo from Disney's Lilo & Stitch to the Valley.

The Seafaring Star Path lets you prepare for The Keepsake Sea by unlocking thematic rewards you can use in the expansion. Think nautical furniture pieces, Merfolk attire and royal captains' garb, and you can even recruit your own first mate. 'Ohana Holidays will also bring a new Star Path with a quirky take on holiday celebrations.

The Keepsake Sea Expansion

In The Keepsake Sea, you transform into a magical Merfolk and uncover echoes of the past tied to the start of the Forgetting. Your journey begins at Dazzle Beach, where a mysterious statue holds a message from an old friend who is lost and stranded. You'll meet 4 Guardians along the way and need to awaken each one.

The adventure spans three new island Biomes, each with underwater areas you can explore and customize:

• Shipwreck Shores: a colorful pirate bay where you'll meet Milo Thatch and Captain Jack Sparrow.
• Candy Cove: a fantasy world of frosty desserts with Megara and Captain Hook, plus a magical narwal.
• Kingdom of Oublié: a place above and below the sea with coral seashell motifs, home to Wendy.

The expansion also introduces Adventure Companions, a new type of companion. Dory will help you navigate the underwater areas, as long as she can remember where anything is. As Merfolk you can unlock new customization options, swim across surface water throughout the Valley and previous expansions, and dive into ripples to collect fish instantly. Your Enchanted Pirate Ship has a crane for salvaging items, a customizable sail and flag, room for up to two Villagers as crewmates and a decorable Captain's Cabin.

Editions, Bonuses and Twitch Drops

Base game owners can buy The Keepsake Sea as an additional purchase with a bundle of 5,000 Moonstones. The Deluxe Edition includes 10,000 Moonstones, exclusive Gilded Shell Tops clothing items, a Merfolk Mansion House Style and two Adventure Companions, Flounder and Sebastian. Arcade Edition owners get the expansion on day one with no additional purchase.

If you buy the expansion and play between November 18 and December 2, you'll also earn an exclusive fin for your mermaids. Another Twitch Drops activation will follow at launch, with an exclusive Sea Witch Ship skin. For the Twitch Drops details, see the official Steam announcement.
